VoD movie platform Viewster's on-demand award-winning movie content is now available on the new HP TouchPad, which was launched July 1, via the Viewster app in the HP App Catalog. Viewster's deal with HP extends the Viewster service to the webOS platform, on which the HP TouchPad runs. Viewster's ever expanding library of high-quality on-demand movies and TV series is available to consumers via subscription; rental; and, in major markets, free ad-supported viewing. "HP is yet another premium device manufacturer recognising Viewster's ability to provide its customers with great content and flexible access models, as well as the technology and collaborative approach required to provide it with one service covering the globe and 18 languages," said Kai Henniges, CEO, Viewster. Viewster adds action, comedy, thriller and other popular genre new release movies (along with further hit TV series) to its substantial catalogue on a continuous basis. Approximately 20 percent of the Viewster catalogue is refreshed each year, with each title being offered for at least 3 months. As a result, HP TouchPad users will benefit from a consistently varied and exciting choice of viewing. "Viewster is committed to making enabling contributions to its alliance with any device manufacturer," said Henniges. "We are delighted to port our technology to the impressive webOS framework, and look forward to working with HP into the future to ensure users get the best from these two exciting technologies." About HP TouchPad HP TouchPad is part of a growing family of webOS devices designed to keep people better connected.
